RADical Days at the Carnegie Carnegie!

The Carnegie Carnegie is funded in part by the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD). Join us for a celebration of the organizations that make our county so special with 2021’s RADical Days!
Visit the Library & Music Hall today for an open house featuring our magnificent historic building; tours of the one-of-a-kind national treasure that is the Espy Post Civil War room; crafts for kids; and the following special programs:
2:00 – Exploring Rangoli
At 2:00 PM, all ages are invited to join Nandini Mandal of the Nandanik Dance Troupe for an exploration of the fascinating art form known as rangoli. Traditional to Nepal, India and Bangladesh, rangoli patterns are created with colorful sand, paints, and flowers, and associated with luck, growth, and prosperity. Learn all about this beautiful form and try your hand at creating some yourself!
3:00 – Indian Classical Dance
Next, meet us in the Music Hall at 3:00 PM! Nandanik Dance Troupe shares a performance highlighting the beauty and richness of Indian classical dance styles and music.
