Important Dates
- The deadline to register to vote in the April 23 primary election is April 8.
- The deadline to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is April 16.
The 2024 Primary Election takes place on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. The polls will open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. Voting will take place in the Lincoln Gallery on the building’s second floor.
There is ample parking for voters around the building. There are handicapped parking spaces near the ramped Studio entrance. Please enter through the Music Hall entrance and take the elevator or stairs up to the Lincoln Gallery.
The Library will be open for its regular 10:00 to 7:00 hours. Stop in and say hello! Voters are encouraged to visit our rare Civil War room, the Captain Thomas Espy Post, adjacent to the Lincoln Gallery, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The ACFL&MH is serving as a venue on behalf of Allegheny County. We will do our best to make voters’ experiences a pleasant one. However, any questions you have about voting or where to vote should be directed to the Division of Elections, at their website or by calling 412-350-4500.
