Listen Locally with Reggie Watkins – “Rivers” Album Release Concert

 Carnegie resident and jazz artist Reggie Watkins will hold the official Album Release Concert for his new CD “Rivers,” his fifth album as a leader on the Music Hall Stage.

The members are Reggie Watkins – trombone/compositions, Michael Bernabe – piano, Eli Naragon – bass, and Jason Washington Jr. – drums. The group’s cohesiveness and artistry will be on full display as the show promises to be a one-of-a-kind and memorable night of creative music. They will perform selections from “Rivers” and be joined on stage by some very special guests! 

   In addition to leading his own groups, Watkins is also a member of the 2X Grammy-nominated Orrin Evans’ Captain Black Big BandThe Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, and is a founding member of Steeltown Horns and The Keystone Jazz Collective. Watkins has toured and recorded extensively with artists such as trumpeter Maynard Ferguson, Jason Mraz, The Temptations, Postmodern Jukebox, Dumpstaphunk, and saxophonist Richie Cole.
