When most people think of Dwight D. Eisenhower, they think of two milestones in his life;
his leadership in the D-Day landings and his election to the presidency of the United States.
Most people don’t realize that Eisenhower had a love for the Civil War, and specifically
Gettysburg. The 1863 battlefield helped to set his carrier on the path to higher command.

Join American Battlefield Trust Senior Education Manager Kristopher White as he outlines the
life and career of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, and how a visit as a West Point cadet in 1915
led to a life long love of the town and battlefield of Gettysburg.

Registration not required. Free and open to the public.
