Music director/arranger/trombonist Reggie Watkins has prepared a dazzling performance blending vintage music and dance from across the spectrum of Jazz and popular song for the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall’s annual benefit this year.
The program will include Pittsburgh’s renowned Boilermaker Jazz Band bringing new verve to classic Jazz Age (20s – 40s) music and two New Yorkers: tap dancer extraordinaire Alex MacDonald and fabulous vocal stylist Lisa Gary.
Flaunt your favorite brand of Retro with that special dress, tie, shoes or hat — you pick the decade. Anything goes!
Carnegie SWINGS! benefits the campaign to restore and revitalize the historic landmark Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall.
A lively after-theater supper throughout the ACFL&MH’s historic facility follows the performance. You’ll find a dance party (as well as food and drink) in the Studio. Join in or just enjoy. Anything goes!
Limited on site and street parking is available. For your convenience, a free shuttle runs from the Main Street parking lot directly across from the Carnegie Coffee Company.
