Studio Jazz Series – Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra
November 8 @ 7:00 pm
The Carnegie Carnegie Studio Jazz Series brings outstanding jazz artists to the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall’s Studio for up close performances in a relaxed, welcoming setting. From classic swing and soul infused jazz to modern grooves and adventurous ensembles, the series highlights the breadth of the jazz tradition while keeping the experience personal, intimate, and accessible. Casual Setting. Top-Shelf Jazz.
The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra presents a quintet of its members to celebrate both the rich legacy of the music here and the ways in which it is continuing today. From playing the music of The Masters to engaging our new, young artists, the PJO endeavors to both keep Jazz music available to the Pittsburgh community, as well as educate them on its history.
