Saturday Soirées: An Evening at the Cabaret with Missy Moreno

Missy Moreno brings her signature blend of music and comedy to the Carnegie Carnegie Studio in the debut of her newest original cabaret! The Pittsburgh-based performer and Chicago’s Second City alum delivers a dynamic evening of laughter and song.

Missy Moreno is an actor, singer and comedian based out of her hometown and fave city of Pittsburgh. Missy is so grateful to have done wonderful shows with wonderful companies like Bricolage, City Theatre, Front Porch Theatricals, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, The REP,  Kinetic Theater Company, St. Vincent Summer Theater, Strand Theater and No Name Players. As an improv comedian, Missy has trained and worked at the legendary Second City in Chicago and The Annoyance Theater. In Chicago, she was part of the Jeff Award winning production of “The Original Grease (Jan, replacement) under the guidance of Jim Jacobs (creator of Grease) at the American Theater Company. babyGRAND, the musical comedy duo featuring Missy Moreno and her comedy partner Connor McCanlus, was named Best Improv Group by City Paper. They have performed at prestigious events such as the Chicago Improv Comedy Festival, Philly DuoFest, and as opening acts for The Skivvies at City Theatre. Additionally, babyGRAND was featured at the Chicago Music Improv Festival, where Missy also performed a solo comedy act, ‘Lisa Mizzelli,’ at the Chris Farley Cabaret Theater at iO. A graduate of Point Park’s Conservatory of Performing Arts, Missy has continued life in education as a Teaching Artist all over the city for people of all ages in the areas of Improvisation
