Embracing Our Differences: “They Called Us Exceptional,” discussion session 2

May 1 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join us for community conversations about diversity & inclusion!

This Spring, we’re reading and discussing They Called Us Exceptional: And Other Lies that Raised Us by Prachi Gupta. This unflinching personal memoir examines the experience of Indian American families, exploring ideas of success, exceptionalism, and compassion. Author Celeste Ng (Little Fires Everywhere) called this book “both searingly honest and deeply compassionate.”

This meeting will focus primarily on Chapter 14 through the end of the book.

Copies are available for checkout at the Library’s circulation desk. Pick up your copy of the book any time the Library is open!
