The Carnegie Carnegie celebrates its 116th anniversary with an evening of some of the region’s finest jazz musicians.

Described as being one of the most dynamic, soulful, entertaining vocalists on the jazz scene today, Donna Bailey brings a sophisticated “coolness” to jazz standards, as well as to her own compositions. Her vocal interpretations and engaging personality have earned her accolades and loyal audiences.  Dr. Nelson Harrison of the Pittsburgh Jazz Network describes her as “…a delight!  There are many singers on the scene today, but very few can light up a room like Donna Bailey. That’s personality… that’s entertainment.”

Donna performed for the legendary Dave Brubeck at the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild in honor of his 86th birthday, and in 2014 was inducted into Pittsburgh’s Jazz Hall of Fame.

Donna’s May 5th playlist includes selections by Cole Porter, Willie Nelson, Henry Mancini, Sammy Cahn/Gene DePaul as well as her own compositions.  She is proud to be joined for this concert by jazz greats Mike Tomaro on Sax, Joe DeFazio on Piano, Jason Hollar on Bass and David Jamison on Percussion.

Doors open at 7:00 pm and show begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance (through May 3rd) and $20 at the door. Click here to purchase tickets.

A reception in the Studio follows the performance. Beverages are available for donation. A shuttle service will be available from the parking lot on E.Main Street opposite Carnegie Coffee Company.

This program is made possible with the support of the McKinney Charitable Foundation.
