Carnegie Celebrates Earth Day!
April 22 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Join us for a day of all-ages fun as we have a blast with our third annual Earth Day celebration, sponsored by Landau Building Company!
Rain or shine, we’ll have a great time!
We’ll spend the day exploring nature and ecology, with guests from the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden; Worm Return composting worms; butterfly crafts with C-ART (an affiliate of Studio Forget-Me-Not); ham radio demos with the W3KWH Steel City Amateur Radio Club; crafts and face painting with Carnegie Borough; outdoor games designed by Carlynton student; jump rope with Double Dutch Swing Squad; and a brand-new sidewalk hopscotch course. Plus, we’re launching our brand new seed library: check out some seeds, take them home and grow them, then save the new seeds from your plants and return them to the library for next year!
At 2:15 pm, Miss Freddye’s Homecookin’ Band wraps up the day with a fabulous free blues concert — outside or in the Music Hall!
Whatever the weather, we can’t wait to see you for our Earth Day Celebration!
