Carnegie Carnegie Studio Jazz Series – Jessica Lee Quartet
August 13 @ 7:00 pm
The Carnegie Carnegie Studio Jazz Series brings outstanding jazz artists to the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall’s Studio for up close performances in a relaxed, welcoming setting. From classic swing and soul infused jazz to modern grooves and adventurous ensembles, the series highlights the breadth of the jazz tradition while keeping the experience personal, intimate, and accessible.
Vocalist Jessica Lee presents an evening exploring the origins and evolution of the blues. Blues Fusion – She’s Got the Blues traces the enduring influence of early blues singers through the music they helped shape, from classic blues standards to beloved songs from rhythm & blues, jazz, and American popular music.
Joined by Rick Gallagher on keys, Mark Strickland on guitar, and Erik Lawrence on saxophone, Jessica brings warmth, soul, and expressive storytelling to this program celebrating the deep musical traditions that continue to inspire artists today.
