Carnegie Carnegie Backbeat Series – Gresh Meets Waits: An Evening of the Songs of Tom Waits

The new Backbeat Series features pop, rock, and roots artists in an intimate concert setting, highlighting musicianship, energy, and live performance at its core.

John Gresh and Phat Man Dee, alongside Liam Gresh, Ben Opie, John Purse, Mike Sweeney, and Robert Peckman, dive into the shadowy corners of Tom Waits’ songbook, reveling in its grit, mischief, and midnight poetry. With seasoned musicianship, the ensemble roams crooked ballads and back-alley waltzes, bringing every barroom confession and carnival stomp to life.
