This Summer, we’re reading and discussing National Book Award finalist Temple Folk by Aaliyah Bilal.
A collection of ten short stories, Temple Folk explores the nuanced experiences of Black Muslims in America, from the 1970s through the present day. Sarahjameela Martin of the Muslim Women’s Association of Pittsburgh will join our group to provide context.
