Prime Stage Theatre presents: “Speak” with playwright Tammy Ryan

Join playwright Tammy Ryan of Prime Stage Theatre for a group discussion of the novel Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, and her experience adapting the novel for the stage. Speak follows the emotional trauma of a young high school freshman after she is sexually assaulted, and the strength she finds to tell her story.

Copies of Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson will be available at the Library’s checkout desk. The stage adaptation of Speak runs from May 1 through May 10 at the New Hazlett Center for Performing Arts.
