SUMMARY:Stage 62 presents "Shrek The Musical TYA" (Theatre for Young Audiences)
DESCRIPTION:For all ticket inquiries contact Stage 62 at 412-429-6262 or info@stage62.org. \n\n\n\nFebruary 14-15 & 21-22Saturdays at 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM | Sundays at 3:00 PM \n\n\n\nEveryone’s favorite ogre is back in this hilarious stage spectacle\, based on the Oscar-winning\, smash-hit film. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film\, Shrek The Musical TYA is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline\, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. \n\n\n\n“Once upon a time\, there was a little ogre named Shrek…” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy\, a cookie with an attitude\, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits\, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily\, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek. \n\n\n\nIn this TYA adaptation by The Coterie\, a shortened running time and minimized cast size make this the perfect show for audience members of all ages. \n\n\n\nMusic by Jeanine Tesori; Book and Lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire; Based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the book by William Steig;Shrek The Musical TYA is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com \n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\nFor all ticket inquiries contact Stage 62 at 412-429-6262 or info@stage62.org.

SUMMARY:Stage 62 presents "Oklahoma!"
DESCRIPTION:For all ticket inquiries contact Stage 62 at 412-429-6262 or info@stage62.org. \n\n\n\nRodgers & Hammerstein’s first collaboration remains\, in many ways\, their most innovative\, setting the standards and rules of modern musical theatre. In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century\, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly\, a charming cowboy\, and Laurey\, a feisty farm girl\, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey\, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road\, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie and hapless Will Parker in a musical adventure embracing hope\, determination and the promise of a new land. \n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n\nFor all ticket inquiries contact Stage 62 at 412-429-6262 or info@stage62.org.

SUMMARY:Stage 62 presents "I Love You\, You're Perfect\, Now Change"
DESCRIPTION:For all ticket inquiries call Stage 62 at 412-429-6262. \n\n\n\nMay 9-11 & 16 – 18Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 PM | Sundays at 2:00 PM \n\n\n\nThe longest running off-Broadway revue in history has been revised for the 21st century! SUMMARY:Stage 62 presents Seussical TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences)
DESCRIPTION:February 8-9 & 15-16Saturdays at 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM | Sundays at 3:00 PMNow one of the most performed shows in America\, Seussical TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) is a fantastical\, magical\, musical extravaganza! Tony award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff\, My Favorite Year\, Once on This Island\, Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters\, including Horton the Elephant\, The Cat in the Hat\, Gertrude McFuzz\, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. \n\n\n\nThe Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton\, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos\, including Jojo\, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers\, but he must guard an abandoned egg\, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule\, danger\, kidnapping and a trial\, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately\, the powers of friendship\, loyalty\, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. \n\n\n\nSeussical TYA is fun for the whole family! This version has been specially adapted to a 75-minute runtime. \n\n\n\n\nLearn More\n\n\n\n\nFor all ticket inquiries\, please contact Stage 62 at 412-429-6262 or info@stage62.org.

SUMMARY:Stage 62 presents RENT
DESCRIPTION:July 18-21 & 25-28Thursdays – Saturdays at 8:00 PM | Sundays at 2:00 PM \n\n\n\nLa Vie Boheme! Jonathan Larson’s iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning musical that shaped a generation of audiences and taught us all to measure our life in love. Set in the East Village of New York City\, Rent is about falling in love\, finding your voice\, and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama\, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. \n\n\n\nBased loosely on Puccini’s La Boheme\, Jonathan Larson’s Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side\, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The physical and emotional complications of the disease pervade the lives of Roger\, Mimi\, Tom\, and Angel. Maureen deals with her chronic infidelity through performance art; her partner\, Joanne\, wonders if their relationship is worth the trouble. Benny has sold out his Bohemian ideals in exchange for a hefty income and is on the outs with his former friends. Mark\, an aspiring filmmaker\, feels like an outsider to life in general. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams\, loves and conflicts provides the narrative thread to this groundbreaking musical. \n\n\n\n\nTICKETS
