SUMMARY:Love Your Library
DESCRIPTION:Love Your Library \nAny and all Gifts in September\, 2016 will be Matched! \nA patron came to the circ desk recently and confided\, “I’ve always loved libraries.”  She had just moved to Carnegie\, and continued\, “But this one is really special!” \nWe agree. It is a pleasure to come to work at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library.  Among the reasons why are the warm sense of community and belonging that patrons and staff alike experience; the delight of preschoolers (along with that of their observers) “Shaking their Sillies Out” with Miss JoLynne or helping a woman who was struggling with a difficult custody issue to send an important fax before the Library actually opened. \nSeptember 2016 is an especially good month to love this Library.  Any gift up to $500 given to the ACFL – between September 1 and September 30 – will be matched by a very generous $125\,000 grant from the Jack Buncher Foundation. \nOf course there’s a catch.  All 46 libraries that are members of the Allegheny County Library Association are eligible to participate in this opportunity.  The more people give throughout the county\, the smaller the match…. \nThat’s okay.  Libraries are about two things: SHARING and EMPOWERMENT.  We ask that you share your treasure with us this September.  Your donation in any amount – whether you mail a check\, drop off a cash donation at the circulation desk or give on line at www.carnegiecarnegie.org/online-donations/ will secure a pro-rated portion of that $125\,000 \nYour generosity empowers us to provide better services and programs.  In September\, it empowers us even more!  Every dollar counts around here.  We who work at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library are deeply appreciative and diligent stewards of the community’s generosity.
