SUMMARY:Carnegie Carnegie Youth Chess Club with Queens Gambit Chess Institute
DESCRIPTION:Youth from ages 5 and up are invited to join us at the Carnegie Carnegie for an 8-week Chess Club series\, presented by the Queens Gambit Chess Institute. \n\n\n\nWhether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned chess player\, all ability levels are welcome! \n\n\n\nEach session will include guided learning with a trained QG coach\, as well as open play time. Work on your chess game\, build confidence and strategic thinking skills\, and enjoy playing with others in a supportive\, hands-on environment. \n\n\n\nYou are not required to attend all 8 sessions. More sessions may be added in the future. \n\n\n\nParents and caregivers are invited to stay and learn alongside their little one. If a grown-up is not staying for the duration of the program\, please plan to pick up your child promptly at 6 pm. \n\n\n\nQuestions? This workshop encourages you to follow your curiosity\, letting your creativity lead the way as we create collages reflecting your dreams\, silly ideas and what brings you JOY!  \n\n\n\nJust like Squonk\, we’ll create art together in a community with imagination and celebrating what makes each of us unique. SUMMARY:Mindful Yoga with Leah Shuck
DESCRIPTION:Please note: this session will meet in the Lincoln Gallery\, not the Studio as normal. \n\n\n\nJoin certified yoga instructor Leah Shuck for a gentle\, slower flow yoga practice every second and fourth Monday evening! \n\n\n\nMindful yoga is a rewarding way to exercise while reducing stress and centering your mind. Please bring a yoga mat\, a bottle of water\, and something to use as a strap (an old scarf\, belt\, or necktie work just fine!). You are also welcome to bring a block\, blanket\, bolster\, etc if you wish. If you don’t have a yoga mat\, we have a few available to borrow. \n\n\n\nThis is a pay-what-you-can class where participants can pay $0-$15\, with a suggested donation of $10 per class. All participants must sign a waiver at each session. \n\n\n\nRegistration is appreciated\, but walk-ins are welcome. Please click here to register.
