National Poetry Month: Poetry Performance Workshop
April 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall to celebrate poetry all April long!
Reading aloud is a wonderful way for us to share poetry with one another! In this workshop for tweens and teens, the Pittsburgh Poetry Collective presents an overview of the history of poetry performance, including poetry slams. We’ll learn about what makes a poetry performance compelling, explore different performance techniques, and practice reading and performing for each other in a safe, supportive environment. Plus, this is a great opportunity for the finalists of our Teen Poetry Slam to pick up some valuable tips!
This virtual program will take place on Zoom. After you register, you will receive a link to the program.
